Hello Dinghao parents,

A few reminders:

1. We will have a bake sale next Saturday, Sept 30th as our first fundraiser.  We are asking for volunteers to bring in homemade baked goods and to man the table.  Please bring in your baked goods a few minutes before classes start.    Sign up on the attached google sheet:

They help the teacher out when needed and they also collect gifts/money for Christmas and/or Chinese New Year for the teachers.  Please email me if you would like to volunteer.  Please indicate the class number and the teacher’s name.3.

If you would like to bring a snack to share at the parents coffee table for this semester, please sign up on this google sheet:

4. Please consider becoming the PTO co-chair with me.   As you can see, we have a lot of work to do and it’s going to be a lot of fun too.  If you are interested in sharing these responsibilities with me, please reach out.  I would love to have a partner!

5.  Also see below a letter from our principal Connie Lai:

Hello everyone,We had a few hiccups last week that I would like to address.Although you are required to read and agree to these guidelines upon registering each semester, I have included below the parent/student handbook as a review. Please take a few minutes to read it through prior to this week’s class. There have been a few isolated incidents in the past with young children whose parents have left the premises during Ding Hao class. Therefore, if you have a child age 9 or below, the school must request that you remain on the premises while your child is in the building. For older children, please use your discretion.  Please wait in the pod for your students. It is important to have you close by if anything should occur. All members of the school are responsible for maintaining the rented classrooms in the same condition in which you found them at the beginning of each class. The parents will be responsible for any damage made by their children to school property. Over the last couple of weeks, we have had a room left with sticky food on a desk and items moved from the teacher’s desk. Please help in maintaining the classroom and  leaving it the way we found it.  We are lucky to have a school allow us to use their classrooms on Saturday and we must respect their property.Every student should bring a snack, however we ask them to bring a dry snack and not something that can spill and is hard to clean up. Please also rememeber we are a nut free school, so please bring only snacks that are nut free, thank you.We need all your help to make this school year successful, but it takes everyone’s effort to make this happen- It takes a village!  All your help is greatly appreciated!!!

Hope to see you all on Saturday.

Regards,Connie Lai, Principal
