What is the Parent Teacher Organization?

As a Ding Hao parent, you are automatically a member of our PTO!  Our purpose is to maintain an open dialogue with Betty Foo (Ding Hao Principal) and the Ding Hao teachers and staff, in order to achieve the best learning and cultural experience possible for our children.  As with any PTO, we are on a tight budget and encourage all parents to volunteer periodically with our many activities throughout the year, such as the Culture Festival, Chinese New Year Party, and Year End Fair. 

Why do we have dues?

Each family is requested to pay $20 per family per year (not per child per semester) to cover such purchases as new books for the Ding Hao Library, beverages and snacks for school concerts and performances, student gifts, special crafts, community out reach programs, teacher appreciation luncheons and the volunteer appreciation breakfast. Your participation makes a big difference.
