Jacobs Music and the Greater Philadelphia Falun Dafa Association invite you to learn about the breathtaking artistry of Shen Yun Performing Arts,

coming to the Merriam Theater in early January 2012. Since its inception in 2006, Shen Yun has established a true renaissance of traditional Chinese culture

through exquisite choreography, stunning costumes and sublime music. In 2011, Shen Yun touched the hearts of over 1,000,000 audience members in over 100

cities on 5 continents with its awe-inspiring beauty and moving performances. Find out how you too can witness the remarkable 5000-year-old heritage of

classical Chinese culture, unique in the world.

 

Pianist Yen-Yu Chen will perform a piano recital to honor Shen Yun's mission of reviving traditional Chinese culture, her own true cultural heritage.  

Yen-Yu was born in Taiwan in 1994. By age ten she was admitted to the prestigious Curtis Institute of Music, where she currently studies with Eleanor

Sokoloff. Yen-Yu has competed in many international piano competition and received numerous awards including first prize in the Kawai Piano Competition,

the Baroque Competition, the Vienna National Piano Competition, the Albert Greenfield Competition in Philadelphia, etc.
