Pianist Yen-Yu Chen will perform a piano recital to honor Shen Yun's mission of reviving traditional Chinese culture, her own true cultural heritage. Yen-Yu was born in Taiwan in 1994. By age ten she was admitted to the prestigious Curtis Institute of Music, where she currently studies with Eleanor Sokoloff. Yen-Yu has competed in many international piano competition and received numerous awards including first prize in the Kawai Piano Competition, the Baroque Competition, the Vienna National Piano Competition, the Albert Greenfield Competition in Philadelphia, etc.
