Betty Foo would like to remind all families that during the first 4 weeks of school, if you think that your child’s class level is not a good fit, you do have the opportunity to try out a different class.  If you feel this might be the case for your child, please speak to your teacher or Mrs. Foo about trying a different level.  They will arrange a visit to a new class for you.     Dear Parents and Teachers, We are looking forward to seeing everyone at the first day of school tomorrow. A few items: – The parent’s classroom will be Room 200, a floor plan will be posted by the registration table. – Please see attachment for instructions on how to access the WiFi . – Remember to stop by the registration table to sample some complimentary baked goods from a Chinese bakery, munchkins and coffee.     Dear Parent and Teachers, CCAGP Spring Picnic Tomorrow! The annual spring picnic is tomorrow, May 21 after class beginning at11:30am. The picnic will take place rain or shine. In the event of rain, we will plan to hold all games/competitions in the aux gym on the 1st floor along with the face and nail painting. The moon bounce will still be outside next to the roofed porch so the kids can have access without getting wet.     Spring Program The Spring Program is tomorrow beginning at 10am in the lower pod. Our teachers and children have been busy preparing for this special event. All classes will perform and refreshments will be served after the performances. INFORMATION TABLE This Saturday, April 30, Ding Hao PTO will have an information table on the 2nd floor bridge with various handouts/flyers and registration forms that will include Ding Hao summer camp, CCAGP spring picnic, picnic volunteer sign-up sheets, and community outreach information for fall registration. Ken Whang, parent and SAC member who serves as our community liaison, will be at the table to explain how you can help promote Ding Hao in your communities regarding camp and fall enrollment. As many of you know, Ding Hao has a wonderful language and culture camp held each summer for 2 weeks at The Holy Child School at Rosemont.     Chinese Pastry Fundraiser Tomorrow! Ding Hao PTO will be holding a Chinese pastry and coffee sale tomorrow, Saturday, March 19 on the 2nd floor bridge. All items will be $1.50. Please come support the PTO! The baked items are coming from Greenland Tea House and Bakery in Chinatown, Philadelphia. We will have our usual items of pork buns, cupcakes, egg tarts, and custard buns! Hot coffee and decaf will also be sold for $1.50. Bring your cash!     Chinese Character Words Recognition Tomorrow is our annual Chinese Character Words Recognition that will be held in the lower pod (aka rm 203) at 10am. Children are to report to their classrooms as usual at 9:30am. All lower and middle class levels(1-6) will be participating in the words recognition challenge. Each class will participate as a group and all students will receive a participation award! Students who have signed up to participate individually will be judged on the proper pronunciation(use of tones) and translation of the characters and prizes will be will awarded accordingly.     Dear Parents and Teachers, Xin Nian Kuai Le! I hope everyone has been enjoying their week. A reminder that tomorrow is our Chinese New Year celebration featuring student performances with a banquet to follow.   Parents please be sure to have your children to school on time tomorrow. Students should report to their classrooms to meet their teacher. The teachers will take the students to the auditorium around 9:40am for the performances.
